Common Milkweed

Common Milkweed is a host plant for the Monarch Butterfly, which has become threatened over the years partly due to the loss of its host plant. Her message is "No Milkweed? No Monarchs". She asks us to help by planting and protecting milkweed to in turn help ensure the Monarch Butterfly's survival as a species.

Window Box Dahlia

I grew this dahlia and several others from seed this year. I never realised how easy they are to grow from seed, and I'm looking forward to starting more this next spring.

Cottage Garden Treasures

Mullein in the window box & part of the side garden in bloom with Bergamot and Echinacea, which the hummingbirds love!
